Housing will be available at the time online registration opens May 2014. Registrants will not be able to reserve housing directly with hotels within the AAP housing block. All reservations for housing will go through Experient, our official registration and housing carrier for the AAP Annual Meeting.
Balint Orban Memorial Competition
Abstract submissions are now open for the 2014 Balint Orban Memorial Competition. The Orban Competition is open to current students or recent graduates of U.S. or Canadian periodontics programs. Eight finalists will be selected to present their research to a panel of judges at the Annual Meeting.
All abstracts must be submitted via the online abstract submission site by 11:59 p.m. CT on April 30, 2014. Instructions regarding abstract submission can be found on the submission site. Finalists will be announced in August 2014 and those abstracts can be accessed online prior to the Annual Meeting.
Innovations in Periodontics
2014 abstract submissions are now closed and authors will be notified in Spring 2014. Innovations in Periodontics sessions address advances in clinical periodontics, basic sciences or related subjects. Research Forum Poster Session
Abstract submissions are now open for the 2014 Research Forum Poster Competition. The Research Forum provides a platform for clinical and basic research to be presented by those in the field of periodontics and is open to all researchers.
All abstracts must be submitted via the online abstract submission site by 11:59 p.m. CT on April 30, 2014. Instructions regarding abstract submission can be found on the submission site. Finalists and poster presenters will be announced in August 2014 and those abstracts can be accessed online prior to the Annual Meeting.
As stated in Chapter 1, Section 6 of the Academy Bylaws, member attendance requirements must be met unless a petition for extension of your respective time period has been filed with the Board of Trustees. If this is your year and you are not able to attend, please submit an Attendance Waiver Request no later than 60 days after the Annual Meeting.
